I am writing to warmly invite you to the final songwriting showcase of the semester put on by the students of Songwriting 1 (MUS 435). The performance will feature all original songs and collaborative co-writes--students write a song a week--written since the beginning of the semester, and will be held at Art of the Song (5500 San Mateo NE, Suite #108), a nationally syndicated NPR show focusing on creative process and songwriting, at 7:30 pm, tomorrow, Friday November 17th. This event is free and open to the public, and feel free to spread the word and invite others you think might enjoy this intimate, listening room event. Student performers include: August James, Emily Anslover, Jolynn Alarid, Selenah Bequette-Kaiser, Christine Chaves, Nate Demar, Mark Galik, Tristan Kemm, Ellen Lusetti and Sierra Stackhouse. Student majors span the CFA and include theater, dance and music.
*This performance is also available for Concert Music Credit.*
We hope to see you there!
Warmly,
~Kristina Jacobsen, Music Department
