Collaborative Lithography Art Studio 429/529.011 TUESDAY: 2:00 – 5:00 PM 3 CREDIT HOURS APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO NOVEMBER 20 This studio course is designed to simulate the professional artist-printer relationship in the collaborative printmaking workshop. Students will be expected to explore their ideas and develop imagery in the context of the unique possibilities of the medium of lithography. Artist participants, selected from all art studio disciplines, will collaborate with student printers at Tamarind. No technical knowledge of lithography is necessary, but a signifcant time commitment outside of class is required. Artists will work in close cooperation with different Tamarind printers on an average of five lithographs, which will be proofed, editioned, and retained by the artist. Enrollment is limited to 6 students. Preference will be given to graduate students, seniors, and to those who have not taken the course previously. If interested please submit a brief artist statement and pdf of 10 images to Matthew Rangel, matthewr@unm.edu, with the subject "Tamarind Collaborative Class".
