The College Enrichment Program is hiring three to four peer mentor tutors to help us support the Early Start Program (ESP) this summer. ESP provides first year students with a highly supportive initial experience designed to create academic momentum by taking one English (110 or 111) or Math (101) course in the summer term immediately following graduation from high school. Peer mentor tutors (PMTs) will be assigned a group of students taking English or Math, sit in on classes, and provide office hours for help on assignments and other concerns.
Applicants should have a GPA of 2.75 or higher, be enrolled as a full-time student at UNM in Spring and Fall 2017, and have received a B or higher in English 120 and/or Math 121. The full job description is pasted below.
Please have students reach out to me directly with questions at larmell@unm.edu.
Thank you in advance for sharing this information with interested students.
