From the great French philosopher, Jean-Paul Sartre, comes one of the most chilling and unforgettable portrayals of hell. Garcin, Inez, and Estelle are three souls who have been condemned to spend their afterlife in hell. However, upon their arrival they are shocked to find that there is no fire, red-hot pincers, or torturer. Instead they are each led into a simple drawing room where they are to stay together for eternity. Eventually the three find that their punishment lies within each other, giving us one of Sartre's most famous quotes: l'enfer, c'est les autres ("Hell is other people"). Will these three souls be able to co-exist with one another? Only time will tell...all time that is.
Performances of No Exit are October 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 at 7:30pm and October 24 and 31 at 6:00pm. It is recommended for mature audiences, due adult language and situations.
