2014 UNM John Donald Robb Composers' Symposium The 43rd Annual John Donald Robb Composers' Symposium goes Beyond Borders with an exciting lineup of daily concerts, lectures, masterclasses and panel discussions. The symposium opens Saturday April 5 with a film screening and panel discussion of cultural identities in the Southwest, and continues April 6 with the John Donald Robb Concert. The centerpiece of this year's symposium is Cuatro Corridos, a multimedia chamber opera that tells the story of human trafficking across the U.S.-Mexico border. The opera takes place April 7 at the South Broadway Cultural Center and will be preceded by a panel discussion of the local realities of human trafficking. Evening concerts continue April 8 and 9. The symposium will conclude April 10 with Jazz at the Border, at the Outpost Performance Space. All events from April 5-9 are free and open to the public.
