New Mexico Film Foundation Announces Statewide Media Project
This project will highlight the postproduction industry in New Mexico
Musicians and composers of New Mexico: You have an opportunity to participate in a statewide video project. The New Mexico Film Foundation has announced the “Life in New Mexico” media project. The general public will submit videos up to 3 minutes in length which will be given to post production editors in New Mexico. These editors will create videos up to 10 minutes in length using their own vision with the theme of “Life in New Mexico.”
The resulting videos will be shown around the state in September, then made available to the New Mexico Tourism Department and any other organization which wants to use them to promote New Mexico.
Editors may use music in their videos but it must be from New Mexico musicians and composers. The New Mexico Film Foundation is looking for musical artists who wish to provide their services to post production editors. This is completely voluntary, and any agreements will be between the editors and the musicians. Musical artists who wish to participate will fill out a form and their contact information will be entered into a database that editors can access. Participation does not guarantee that you will be contacted or selected by an editor.
If you wish to participate, go to the New Mexico Film Foundation webpage “Life in New Mexico” media project, review the information on that page then click on the musician link in the right hand column.
