ASUNM Southwest Film Center The University of New Mexico www.unm.edu/~swfc5052775608 swfc@unm.edu PRESS RELEASE- For Immediate Release November 14, 2011 Contact Elyse Jalbert 5054129335 A Night of Cinema, Music, and Live Performance: Audio Visual Show Seven Once a year, Basement Films production couples live performance and all things cinematic in the most unexpected, and sometimes a bit messy, ways; the Audio Visual Show. Saturday November 19th, 2011, the ASUNM Southwest Film Center will be hosting the seventh consecutive show, Audio Visual Show Seven. This three act show will not only be highlighting experimental cinema, but will be showcasing some of the Univeristy of New Mexico’s talent in a different and unexpected way. Student opera performers will be performing pieces of “Impresario,” a dialogue of tense undertones that depicts an emotional discrepancy; coupled with suitable images that depict the rise and fall of fame. Student actors will be interacting and dream walking while their dreams are screened behind them and The Chuppers, an experimental musical group, will create music that cannot, and will never, be recreated along with short films that feel similar; momentary and non-reproducible. The show is from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the ASUNM Southwest Film Center, which is located on the lower level of the UNM Student Union Building. This event is $3.00 for students, $4.00 for staff, and $5.00 for the general public.
