The Feminist Research Institute invites you to a presentation from two of our past grant recipients: _Chicana Art: Feminist Visual and Literary Production in the Borderland_ “Xicana Aesthetic Activism: Accessing Performances of Resistance” Gina Díaz American Studies “Mi/My lengua franca: Manipulating a Chicana Cultural Heritage In Art and Literature” Elena Avilés Spanish and Portuguese Gina Díaz's project works to "complicate Chicana/o cultural politics through analysis of Chicana lesbian feminist art" while Elena Avilés explores "how Chicanas maneuver, define, challenge and transgress their cultural heritage through visual and textual expressions."
