Strada Featuring the choreography of the UNM Dance Faculty Artistic Director Vladimir Conde Reche March 4, 5, 11 at 7:30pm, March 12 at 6pm, and March 6 and 13 at 2pm and 6pm Rodey Theatre The choreography of UNM’s remarkable dance faculty will be showcased in Strada, March 4-13 in Rodey Theatre. Assistant Professor Vladimir Conde Reche is the artistic director of this exciting concert which highlights the talents of the students in the dance program. The featured work on this concert is an historic restaging of Martha Graham’s Panorama by Peggy Lyman Hayes and coached by UNM’s Mary Anne Newhall, and former Martha Graham dancer Eric Newton. Renowned lighting designer John Malolepsy collaborates with Jennifer Predock Linnell on Dithering, which will incorporate an original video projection by artist Joyce Neimanas. Jennifer Predock Lennell is also working with composer Panaiotis on an excerpt from Unquiet. Also on the program will be Inflorescence, a new work choreographed by Donna Jewell to an original score by jazz master Bill Clark, a premiere by Joaquin Encinias, the director of Yastros the Flamenco Repertory Company, and a physically demanding, abstract work, by Vladimir Conde Reche, entitled Nous.
