KIVA Club invites you to our 14th annual Native Beats Benefit Concert. This year our theme is "Missing, Murdered Indigenous Women" & “Protect Chaco”. We are dedicating this event the organizers who help and advocate for the people. All proceeds and donations will be sent to the Dine-Pueblo Youth Solidarity Group and the StrongHearts Native Helpline.
This concert is a way to support and raise awareness about what is happening to the Indigenous women in our communities and how that relates with resource extraction. We want to be able to give opportunities for the community to reach out and find help. if and when they need it.
Everyone and anyone is invited so please come out! This event is free, but we do have a recommended donation of $5.

“As Pueblo and Dine youth, we will be next to inherit and take responsibility for the health and well-being of our tribal nations and people.
The mission of Dine Pueblo Youth Solidarity is to establish that the youth of our tribal communities stand united in protecting the longevity of our natural and cultural resources in the Greater Chaco landscape.
We organize to provide education on the extreme detrimental cultural, public health, natural resource, and economic impacts of fracking on our lands, bodies, and communities.
We do this by highlighting the work of our communities in this struggle, uplifting the voices of our youth, and advocating that we all must look to our traditions and future generations for solutions to determine our present actions.”

“The story of the StrongHearts Native Helpline began in 2012 when the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center (NIWRC) and the National Domestic Violence Hotline (The Hotline) began discussing the need for a domestic violence hotline to support tribal communities across the United States. With input from tribal leaders, a Native women’s council, domestic violence experts, and the Family Violence Prevention and Services Program, the two organizations began laying the groundwork to develop a Native-centered hotline staffed by advocates with a strong understanding of American Indian cultures, as well as issues of tribal sovereignty and law.
Their vision became a reality with the creation of the StrongHearts Native Helpline (StrongHearts) in March 2017, made possible by support from the Administration on Children, Youth and Families, Family and Youth Services Bureau, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Verizon. StrongHearts is a culturally-appropriate, anonymous, confidential service dedicated to serving Native American survivors of domestic violence and concerned family members and friends. By dialing 1-844-7NATIVE (1-844-762-8483) Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST, callers can connect at no cost one-on-one with knowledgeable StrongHearts advocates who can provide lifesaving tools and immediate support to enable survivors to find safety and live lives free of abuse.
StrongHearts is a partnered effort, combining the technology and infrastructure of The Hotline with NIWRC’s expertise and community connections, as well as the trust of Native advocacy groups.”
