Truman Scholarship Information Sessions September 7 (Thursday), 5:00 ‐ 6:00 pm @ Honors College Forum September 8 (Friday), 3:00 ‐ 4:00 pm @ Honors College Forum Honors College Forum is located in the lower level of the Student Health & Counseling Building. Please RSVP at NISF@unm.edu. Approximately 60 Truman scholarships are awarded annually to students who wish to attain graduate programs that pertain to government, public health, public service, environmental protection, or economics. The scholarship is open only to students in their junior year of undergraduate study and provides up to $30,000 for graduate study. Be an undergraduate junior in any major* (Graduating December 2018 or May/August 2019) Be a U.S. citizen Have a competitive GPA Plan to pursue a graduate program leading to a career in government or public service Plan to pursue a career in Public Service Obtain institutional nomination *Students who are not applying this year, but interested in the Truman Scholarship in the future are encouraged to attend the information session to learn about the criteria and process.
