The Department of Cinematic Arts presents a talk by Getrude Matshe, casting agent for Peter Jackson’s King Kong and James Cameron’s Avatar. Monday, October 10, 11:00am in Room 2018 of Center for the Arts Free and open to the public. Getrude Matshe is a filmmaker, entrepreneur, author, and TEDx speaker who has been described as a “vibrant bundle of African energy.” She will discuss the process of creating a casting agency in New Zealand and her involvement in the making of King Kong and Avatar.
