Night and Day is an astonishing double bill of dance theatre pieces by one of America’s most influential and respected playwrights, Charles L. Mee. Using physical performance, music, and a collage of texts, two classic tales are re-told through a modern day lens, incorporating everything from philosophy to news stories to pop-culture. Night, inspired by the story of Thyestes, is filled with nightmare and despair and darkness. Day, inspired by the classic tale of Daphnis and Chloe, is bursting with love and loveliness and light. Like nothing else, Night and Day promises a tour-de-force evening of transformative, cutting edge, contemporary theatre. (Advisory: partial nudity and mature content.)
