4th at 4pm – Susan Levine Lecture. Dr. Levine will be speaking on the subject of medicine and the politics of knowledge and healing. This work delineates the debate between western and non-western medicine and the epistemology of knowledge production as it pertains to the contested legitimacy of traditional medicine. Her work focuses on regions as diverse as South Africa, Mexico, India, and China; and with a diverse range of medical practices including allopathic physicians and traditional healers.

A celebration of the Mexican Revolution (1910-1921) with the presentation of the multi-media performance of Silvestre Revueltas “La Coronela” with projected images of the Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada.
